The Jade Lion Gim is a civilian self-defense Wen Jian (Scholar’s Sword). The Chinese lion motif is cast in nickel-sliver with detail on the heavy guard and pommel. Jade green cord wrapped handle with coordinating rosewood polished ray skin scabbard. The 30" blade is forged by hand and tempered from the finest damascus steel. The Jade Lion series draws upon the same protective reputation as the lion, combining ceremonial, "dress" styling with "battle ready" performance. This makes them appropriate for collectors specifically as well as martial artists in general.
